DESCRIPTION

A true Barolo di Barolo, Albe is a blend of grapes from three di erent

vineyards at three di erent altitudes. Every morning the sun rises from

one vineyard to another creating a symphony for the senses just like the

wine produced from these blocks.  is is a Barolo of great character and

re ned balance, where beautiful aromas, re ned equilibrium and ripe

tannins, come together in perfect harmony.

HARVEST AND WINEMAKING

e harvesting of Nebbiolo grapes in the Comune of Barolo is done during the second

half of October. Grape picking and transporting the grapes in small crates are done

manually to keep the grapes intact.  e careful selection of grape clusters starts in the

vineyard and is carried out with the same attention all the way to the cellar.

e fermentation lasts 30 to 40 days depending on the characteristics of that vintage.

Before bottling, Barolo Albe ages in Slavonian oak barrels for approximately 36 months.

TASTING NOTES

Sheer ruby red color. Aromas of red fruits and plums,  owers, pine needles and brushwood.

Albe is a harmony of sophisticated and delicate  avors supported by an elegant

acidity and ripe tannins.

  1. Every morning the sun rises over the vineyards of this Barolo three times. It is the caressing of the
sun that gives Albe its true Beauty. With this wine we aspire to transmit this exceptional simplicity
of Nature which makes this every day miracle of life possible.

  2. “The 2008 Barolo Albe is flat-out delicious. The Albe has often been a big step below the flagship Barolo Bricco delle Viole, but not in 2008. Although softer and rounder than that wine, there is plenty of vintage character in this vibrant, beautifully articulated Barolo. Sweet dark cherries, incense, licorice and tobacco are all wrapped around a pliant finish. The 2008 is accessible even today, and is a great – and I mean great – introductory Barolo for the year. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2020.

  3. “The rose, strawberry and cherry aromas and flavors are beautifully displayed on the elegant frame in this pure and delicately wrought red, which shows harmony and depth. The fine lingering finish expresses energy, with a mineral element. Best from 2015 through 2032. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 7,000 cases made.”
